Building a safe and comfortable home in a villa in Karuizawa | It's House's homes are focused on durability and safety
Building a house is not the end of the story. In order to live comfortably for a long time, durability, or the ability to maintain performance over time, is extremely important. In particular, for homes like villas in Karuizawa, where temperature and humidity fluctuate greatly from season to season, consideration of durability is essential.
Therefore, at it's House, we incorporate many ingenious features to withstand changes over time and the risks of nature, so that you can live in a villa in Karuizawa with peace of mind, creating a home where you can live safely for a long time.
Highly water-resistant panel that is resistant to aging
Even if a home was comfortable when it was first built, its insulation performance can deteriorate over time. This occurs because the "fiber insulation material (glass wool)" that is widely used for insulation changes due to humidity and condensation, preventing it from performing its intended insulating function. Therefore, our "Original Panel" uses "polyisocyanurate foam," which is resistant to moisture and does not easily deteriorate in quality. It maintains its excellent water resistance and insulation performance over time.
Preventing termite damage with a physical barrier
Fully prepared to protect against termites, a natural enemy of wooden houses. A slab foundation, anti-termite sheets, and foundation insulation prevent termite intrusion and damage, maintaining durability. A slab foundation, with the entire floor covered in concrete, physically blocks termites from entering the building from underground through the spaces under the floor. Anti-termite and moisture-proof sheets (using chemicals certified by the WHO as being the safest and least irritating to humans and animals, and environmentally friendly) are laid under the basement, preventing not only termites but other insects from getting close. Furthermore, the foundation insulation has anti-termite properties, preventing damage to the insulation itself and maintaining the durability of the foundation over the long term.
*For all products, anti-termite agent is applied on-site not only to the foundation but also to the pillars up to 1m above ground level, and anti-termite agent is applied to the original structural panels on the first floor at the factory.

Fire-resistant material that does not spread flames
The "Thermax" insulation material used in the "Original Panel" is a solid insulation material that uses "polyisocyanurate foam" and is highly non-flammable and fire-resistant. It is a next-generation, high-performance insulation board that is fire-resistant, flame-resistant, and water-resistant, and has been certified as a non-flammable material by the Minister of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism. It maintains its performance for a long time.
Double inspection system ensures safety and security
From the start of construction until the building is completed, we conduct a total of 10 on-site inspections, including our own inspections and double-checks by an external third-party organization. By involving a third party, we are able to carry out more rigorous and objective inspections. We also always investigate the ground, which is important when building a house, before construction begins and carry out ground improvement work if necessary. The results of all these inspections, surveys, and improvements are presented to you as a report along with a warranty at the time of handover.
Take out insurance to cover defects in newly built homes
There are two laws regarding warranties in the event of defects in newly built homes: the Housing Quality Assurance Act and the Housing Defect Liability Act. The former requires housing companies to bear the costs of repairing defects, while the latter requires them to take out insurance and deposit a guarantee to fulfill that responsibility for 10 years from the time of delivery. Of course, it's House takes out Defect Liability Insurance. We provide homes that you can live in safely and comfortably for many years to come.
It's House homes are equipped with high-performance panels, anti-termite and fire-resistant measures, a double inspection system, and reliable insurance, so even your Karuizawa villa will maintain its comfort and safety over time.
